Incommunities in partnership with Bradford Council now offer a "move to improved living scheme".
Our team can help you to move into a smaller property in an area that you choose to live in. We can also help with the cost of moving into your new home, decorating the property and buying new carpets for it.
why are we offering this service?
Many people are living in properties that they may not be able to cope with any more and find the thought of moving very difficult and the costs incurred may also stop them.
To help people to remain independent, our "move to improved living scheme" can help.
who can we help?
Any Incommunities tenant who lives in a 2, 3 or 4 bed house that wishes to move to a smaller property.
why move?
- your property is too big for you to manage
- your not using all the bedrooms/rooms
- your stairs maybe hard to get up and down
- your garden has become difficult to maintain
- your bills have become expensive (heating a 1 bedroom property is cheaper than a 3 bedroom property)
- your children have grown up and moved away
- your access to shops or doctors is limited
- your are disabled and your home is no longer suitable
- your property is not suitable for adaptations
- help you to find a property in an area you want to live in
- help with organising the removal
- help with the cost of decorating a smaller property and buying new carpets
- help with contacting your utility companies for the transfer of gas, electric and water about your move
- help with financial and benefit advice
