support in temporary accommodation (including some temporary accommodation addresses dispersed across the Bradford District)
our support service is available to:
- households residing in temporary accommodation
- households moving-on from temporary accommodation into a new tenancy
- tenants with support needs who may be referred to us by Incommunities
our support service can help you with:
- managing money, welfare benefits and debt
- accessing work through Open Field
- education and training, plus support with reading, writing and getting into college
- social and leisure activities including: hobbies or cultural faith needs and local community activities
- liaising with adult or childrens services, registration with GP and dentist and other specialist agencies
- promoting health (mental, physical, support with substance misuse)
- developing independent living skills and managing your tenancy
- promoting awareness of risk to abuse, bullying and health and safety
- your emotional support through our life coaching service
- developing parenting skills
Referrals into temporary accommodation will have a named advice team support worker allocated within 24 hours of arrival.
